Look FABULOUS with only a Mirror...

If you're at work, or somewhere where you can't watch the above link, well then let's read about it together, the 'old fashion' way.

Step One: Look in the mirror

Step Two: Smile

Step Three: BE PROUD OF WHO YOU SEE!

This is not a joke.

If you’re not ok with the person you see when you look in the mirror, you’ll never be impressed by the one you see in photographs, no matter who your photographer is, and how much photoshop they use.

Photoshop does NOT make you beautiful. Photoshop makes us look like someone we’re not, and then we just spend time looking at photos wishing we really were younger, skinnier, had whiter teeth or perfectly smooth hair. I promise that if you can look at yourself in the mirror and be proud of who you see, then you will look at yourself in pictures on your walls and be completely captivated by the moments that you won’t have time to critique yourself.

Wear gold lip gloss because you like sparkles

Wear pink lip gloss because it reminds you of Summer and it’s cloudy and snowy outside and you want to be reminded of flip flops and Summer dresses

Don’t get me wrong. There are definitely days I look in the mirror and I ask myself, did I even brush my hair this morning? But those days shouldn’t outnumber the ones you look in the mirror and tell yourself that today is going to be a great day, and you are here for a reason.

You are loved! In order to love others we must first love ourselves.

So next time you are headed to a family gathering, a birthday party, or a work event where you know photos will be taken, don’t stress about looking good for the pictures, just worry about living in that moment, and enjoying it as it happens. Look yourself in the eye and remind yourself that this is exactly who you are supposed to be.

We’re all perfectly imperfect. Be proud of every single part of YOU.
